We are absolutely delighted to share the news that we have made it through as a FINALIST in TWO categories in the 2027 Lancashire Tourism Awards – the Dog Friendly Business of the Year and in the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award.
As you know, we absolutely LOVE seeing your pooches here at Affinity Lancashire, and we make sure that our canine visitors are well looked after with doggie drinking stations throughout the centre and free poop bag dispensers to clean up after any little accidents! Most of our stores here are dog friendly allowing your doggie companions in store to shop with you, and lots also have little treats on offer too! And don’t forget that your pooches are welcome inside Poppies Tearoom and Costa Coffee, as well as in the outdoor seating areas of our other on-site cafes 
Last year we introduced our SEND Grotto to our Christmas events line up, an experience created to offer an inclusive space for families who may not ordinarily be able to access a Santa’s Grotto. This was met with positivity and amazing feedback and gave many families the chance to experience the magic of Christmas that they had previously felt excluded from. Coupled with our free wheelchair hire, sensory borrow bag scheme, dedicated accessibility guide we are delighted to have been announced as a finalist in this category.
Interviews are due to be held in November, with the awards night scheduled for February.
