Affinity Lancashire is supporting local hospice care by naming Brian House Children’s Hospice as their 2026 Charity of the Year!

After supporting Brian House back in 2024 with the sponsorship of our gorgeous Ellie-Welly from Elmer’s BIG Parade Blackpool, we are proud to announce a new partnership with Brian House as our 2026 Charity of the Year. Brian House celebrates 30 years of providing outstanding children’s hospice care across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre this year, and we’re pledging to raise as much as possible throughout 2026 to support their local hospice care.

As part of the partnership, we will be raising funds by taking donations at our free events, and we’ll also be welcoming the Brian House fundraising team on the centre over the year with their fundraising stalls and initiatives. The management team will also be aiming to undertake some of Brian House’s fundraising events.

Loraine Atkin, Centre Manager, said: ‘We’re delighted to be able to able to support our local hospice as our Charity of the Year for 2026. Brian House provides such an invaluable care service to children and families in our local community and we are proud to be able to show our support.

We hope, along with raising valuable funds, we will also be able to increase awareness of the range of services and care that Trinity Hospice offers, and we are looking forward to working closely with the team throughout 2026.”

Jo Fowler, Community & Corporate Fundraising Manager at Brian House, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that Brian House has been chosen as the charity of the year for Affinity Lancashire. As we celebrate our 30th birthday this year, this partnership really means so much to us.

“As the only children’s hospice on the Fylde coast, and the second-least funded children’s hospice in the country, we rely on our community and amazing people who work in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre in order to keep our services running and our care free of charge for the local families who rely on us.

“We are honoured that our charity was chosen by the retailers at the site as well as the management team, as it shows this wonderful community is passionate about supporting exceptional care for incredible children who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. We can’t wait to spend the year working with them to raise as much as possible for our vital hospice.”

If you’d like to make a donation to Brian House at one of our events, you’ll find collection boxes and buckets in the main event areas, or you can always scan the QR code on our Ellie-Welly Elephant to make a donation online!
